Quercus alba, also known as “White Oak,” is a deciduous tree and is not supposed to require high maintenance. Today, we will provide you with some tips on how to take proper care of this tree if you have planted it in your yard, without the need for expert help from a tree service provider:

  • Although this type of tree is drought tolerant, it grows best if you make the effort to water it on a regular basis.
  • It will grow better when you water it deeply while it is still young. It will soon show you its large lobed leaves if you do this during the first year of its intensive growth.
  • The plant cannot survive an exposure to temperatures below 5°F, so if there are any unexpected climate changes, make sure to protect it well against the cold weather so that its roots can stay warm.
